So nice to see you here, my name is Mikayla and/or Mik and I hope you're having a great day!

I grew up in Arlington, Texas with a crafty teacher mom, a Aerospace Engineer dad and 2 super cool younger siblings After taking interest in music, theater, and arts as a child I naturally found myself pursuing paths that nurtured my inner creator and enabled me to work alongside others to create memorable moments through theater, dance, and other forms of expression. While studying at UNT, I had the great experience of working with professional directors and designers both in the classroom, and all the way to main stage productions. I gained knowledge of entertainment industry practices and skills in stage management, carpentry,  scenic painting, and in costume and scenic design.

After graduating with my BA in Theater Design/Tech I moved to the Orlando area, where I'm currently loving the surrounding natural inspiration and actively seeking new opportunities to continue my learning and professional growth. I'm the kind of person that loves taking on projects that test my creativity and enable me to collaborate with others.  I'm currently working with a wonderful team of scenic painters upholding and improving the parks at Universal Studios while searching for additional works that satisfy my passion for putting on a show and crafting really cool things.
